•Unit 11 Spelling and Vocabulary Test will be postponed until next week as the teachers will be in a training session and the students will be watching a movie. ITBS testing begins on Monday and we will take the test after they are completed. We will also be participating in the faculty/8th grade flag football game in the afternoon.

Students will:
-choose their favorite book
-do an author study and write a 1/2 page paper over him/her
-write a one page summary over the book
-decorate the sack with items relating to the book
-fill the sack with at least six items/props that relate to the story
-present it to small or large groups
All of this will be done in class, except for the props that go into the sack. This is a fairly large project and will also have a daily participation grade. This is an activity that I believe the students will greatly enjoy!
