6th grade:
•Complete a 5 senses chart using the story "The Polar Express"
•Begin watching "The Polar Express"
•Fill out a T-chart noting the similarities and differences between the story and the movie
7th grade:
•Choose a scene from the story "A Christmas Carol" and rewrite it
-Examples: use a different time period, write it from another characters point-of-view, or add another visitor who comes to further enlighten Scrooge
